How can you reduce the high blood sugar?
Use this food list base on the GI (glycemic index).
- GI food list
The glucemic index presents a scale where the carbohydrates are classified by the glycemic response or level that they raise the blood glucose levels.
The scale is 0-100. The higher the food is on this list, it is bringing the blood glucose to spike. The lower is the food, the safer and the healthier is to consume that food.
Avoid food that ranges from 70 and more. Those are foods such as baked potato, glazed donut, corn flake, popcorn, white bread, rice cake, etc.
Furthermore, the next is the moderate glycemic group. It is fine to eat these foods, but to be moderate. The number of GI ranges from 55 to 69. Examples of these foods are: white rice, pita bread, cheese and mac, honey, oatmeal, brown rice, etc.
The foods that are lowest on the GI scale are the ones that you need to consume a lot in order to lower the high blood sugar. These foods range from 0 to 54.
There a lot of foods like this: turkey sausage, pineapple juice, pea, green grape, carrot, orange, banana, tomato juice, spaghetti, kidney bean, apple, butter bean, cashew, cherry, walnut, grapefruits, broccoli, egg, yellow onion, hummus and many more.
Eat these foods and you will reduce the high blood glucose level very fast.
